Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Kliq Card collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information when you use our websites, digital cards, contact and event tools, memberships features, check-in and document-signing experiences, and related services (the “Service”).

If an organization provides your membership, workspace, event, or check-in experience, that organization may separately decide how it uses information available to it. Its own privacy notices may also apply.

2. Information We Handle

Account and profile information includes name, username, email address, phone number, password hash, account identifiers, authentication and session information, verified SSO identity claims, job title, company, biography, tagline, images, social links, custom fields, preferences, roles, invitations, permissions, and account activity.

Cards, contacts, events, and meetings may include digital card content, themes, vanity links, QR codes, view or share counts, contact details, tags, notes, relationship scores, interaction history, event hub details, goals, members, strategies, reports, meeting records, reminders, recap content, recipients, and email delivery status.

If you connect Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook, we receive connection tokens and account and calendar details, and may process event identifiers, titles, descriptions, dates, times, locations, attendees, status, and other event data needed to sync and suggest networking events. You can disconnect a calendar connection, although previously imported records may remain until deleted or no longer needed.

Membership, check-in, and signature information may include organization and member details, tier, status, dates, member number, benefits, family or sponsor relationship, card token, visits, announcements, perks, events, check-in time, location, purpose, method, notes, document version, signer name and email, signature image, and timestamp.

Billing, communications, device, and usage information may include plan, trial and renewal dates, subscription status, Stripe references and events, support requests, feedback, delivery or complaint information, IP address, browser and device details, access times, pages or features used, errors, session identifiers, and card, share, visit, or check-in analytics. Stripe receives payment details directly; Kliq Card does not store full payment-card numbers.

3. Sources of Information

We receive information:

• Directly from you when you register, build a card, add a contact, join an event or organization, check in, sign a document, or contact us.
• From other users and organization staff who invite, sponsor, add, manage, or interact with you.
• From public card visitors and kiosk or member-portal users.
• From Kliq Card’s sign-in provider or an organization-configured identity provider when you use SSO. Verified identity claims may be used to find, link, promote, or create your Kliq Card account and establish a session.
• From connected providers such as Google, Microsoft, Stripe, Resend, and optional AI services.
• Automatically from your device and use of the Service.

4. How We Use Information

• Provide accounts, cards, contacts, event hubs, teams, memberships, check-ins, signatures, calendar sync, reminders, recap emails, and support.
• Display and share information through the public, shared, team, event, organization, member, and kiosk experiences you or an organization choose to use.
• Process subscriptions, trials, and billing; authenticate users; maintain sessions; and protect the Service against abuse, fraud, and security threats.
• Personalize features, calculate relationship or activity metrics, generate reports, troubleshoot, analyze use, and improve the Service.
• Send service messages and enabled notifications and comply with legal obligations or enforce our agreements.

5. Public and Organization-Visible Information

Digital cards, vanity links, member cards, member portals, and some check-in or kiosk pages are designed to be shared or accessed without a Kliq Card account. Information placed on those surfaces may be seen, saved, or redistributed by visitors. Use the available card and profile settings and avoid publishing information you do not want others to receive.

When you join a team, event hub, or membership organization, owners, administrators, staff, collaborators, or other authorized participants may see information relevant to that space, including profile and contact details, roles, activity, notes, attendance, check-ins, signatures, and reports. Organization administrators are responsible for granting appropriate access and for their own use of exported or viewed information.

6. Providers and Other Disclosures

We disclose information as needed to operate the Service, including to Stripe for payments and billing; Resend for email delivery; Google and Microsoft for connected calendars; Kliq Card’s sign-in provider and organization-configured identity providers for SSO; Anthropic for optional AI processing when Anthropic-powered features are available and used; Apple and pass infrastructure for Apple Wallet; and cloud hosting, database, object-storage, monitoring, and other infrastructure providers.

For SSO, identity request details may be sent to the provider and the provider returns signed identity claims used to verify, provision, or link your account. Your organization controls its identity-provider configuration and policies.

We may also disclose information at your direction; to your organization and authorized users; to comply with law or valid legal process; to protect rights, safety, and the Service; or as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, or transfer of the Service. We do not sell personal information for money.

7. Optional AI Processing

Kliq Card offers optional AI features, such as event strategies, reports, contact assistance, Nomi chat, or meeting summaries. When you use an available Anthropic-powered AI feature, Kliq Card sends information needed to perform that feature to Anthropic. For ordinary Nomi chat, this can include your message and conversation history and context Kliq Card automatically includes, such as your networking preferences, event information, and saved contact details, including contact names, email addresses, notes, and relationship context. This information is not limited to words you explicitly type in the current message. Other AI features may send relevant prompts, contact fields, event details, or meeting notes, depending on the request. Do not add confidential or sensitive information that is unnecessary for the feature, and review AI outputs before using or sharing them: they can be inaccurate. AI features may be unavailable when not configured.

8. Cookies and Sessions

Kliq Card uses cookies and similar browser storage needed to authenticate you, maintain a session, remember choices, secure the Service, and understand its operation. Browser controls can block or delete cookies, but doing so may prevent sign-in or other features from working. We do not promise a separate cookie-consent control where one is not provided.

9. Retention and Deletion

We retain information while it is needed to provide the Service and for legitimate operational, security, dispute-resolution, recordkeeping, and legal purposes. Retention varies by the type of information and context. Public links or organization records may remain until the owner or authorized administrator removes them.

You may update many account, card, contact, integration, and preference details in the Service. Where the account deletion control is available, you may use it to delete your account; you may also contact us. Deletion may remove or de-identify account information, but limited records may remain in backups, security logs, billing records, signed documents, organization records, or where another user or organization independently controls the information or law requires retention.

10. Security

We use administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect information, including authenticated access, role-based controls in supported organization features, hashed passwords, protected session cookies, and encrypted network connections provided by our hosting environment. No service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and shared links and for promptly reporting suspected unauthorized use.

11. Your Choices and Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, or an appeal, and to complain to a privacy regulator. These rights are not absolute. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when legally permitted or required. Authorized agents may submit requests where allowed by law.

You can change supported profile, notification, and privacy preferences in settings; disconnect calendar integrations; and cancel subscriptions through the available billing controls. Some settings affect only the features identified in the interface and do not stop processing needed to provide, secure, or bill for the Service. Contact us to make a privacy request that is not available in the interface.

12. International Processing

Kliq Card and its providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, transfers are handled using legally recognized safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism.

13. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. Organizations must obtain any legally required permission before entering information about a minor member, dependent, guest, or signer. Contact us if you believe a child’s information was provided improperly.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. We may provide additional notice of material changes where appropriate.
